Living room clearances: 14–18″ to the coffee table
Most coffee tables sit too far away.
The living room numbers to draw with: 14–18″ (350–450 mm) from the sofa edge to the coffee table, a table about two-thirds the length of the sofa, 30–36″ walkways routed around the seating group, a coffee table at or just under seat height (16–18″) and end tables close to arm height.
